Scheduled visual observation for absentee owners — Fort Myers high-rises, riverfront condos, and seasonal homes.
When you travel, your home sits unoccupied for weeks or months at a time. Avalon visits on a schedule you set, walks the property along a consistent routine, photographs what is visually accessible, and sends you a written report after every visit. You see what we see, while you are away.
A Florida climate is hard on an empty home. Avalon's role is to visit on schedule and document what is visually accessible, so a condition that becomes visible does not go unseen for months. We observe and report. We do not diagnose, repair, or guarantee.
No two homes are alike, so no two plans are either. Choose the services that fit your property and how long you are away. Recurring services are billed only during the months your home is unoccupied. Starting rates are shown; your plan is confirmed in writing before we begin.
On a schedule you set, we walk your property along a routine built around your home, note what is visually accessible, and send you a written, photo-documented report after every visit. You see what we see, while you are away.

"I'd rather be your Home Watch Reporter than your Insurance Adjuster."
My prior career experience trained me to notice the details in a home that others may miss, and to put what I see in writing, clearly and on the record. I am a licensed insurance adjuster in Florida and Texas, with more than twenty years in property loss. For years I also worked as an NFIP flood adjuster for FEMA, and I still lead a private network of flood adjusters today. When I stopped traveling for out-of-state catastrophe work and moved to Fort Myers in 2021, I took on local claims full time, handling as many as 100 a month across condominiums, businesses, and homes.
That work put me alongside contractors, public adjusters, attorneys, leak-detection specialists, water-mitigation crews, and restoration companies. I have stood in more storm-damaged and water-damaged homes than I can count. Avalon is the other side of that work: keeping a careful, documented eye on your home so its story is written before you need it, not after.
I live on the Fort Myers riverfront. Your home is one elevator ride or a short drive from mine. That is a level of attention an out-of-town service cannot offer.
Paul is a licensed insurance adjuster in Florida and Texas with over 20 years of property loss field experience, including NFIP flood adjusting for FEMA, and a background in water, fire, and mold restoration work. This background informs how visits are documented. It does not constitute a professional opinion on the condition, safety, or value of the property during any visit, and home watch is not an adjusting, inspection, or restoration service.
